Polestar Air.V
__

This is a design exercise for a recreational vehicle that moves by opening its wings and using its micro-reactors to gain speed, altitude, and change direction. An eVTOL with retractable wings with a comfortable vacation living space for four.

A flying RV.

An AirV.

Concept
__

A protective shell / structure, to which the cabin is attached, has four micro-reactor sets in each corner. The cabin itself is mainly a transparent element. Light comes in from front, sides, and from the skylight that completes the silhouette.

The design is inspired by the Polestar DNA and how it would translate in this kind of vehicle.
Surfaces are kept as clean and uncluttered as possible. Shut lines and other elements are carefully shaped and placed to convey a design that is as honest, straightforward, and confident as possible.

Interior
__

The interior is a continuation of the high-contrast theme, balanced by the presence of natural materials or colours, such as the hardwood floor and the weaved fabrics.

Because the inner surfaces of the protective shell are dark-coloured, and the interior itself is also dominated by darker tones, your eye is drawn to the surroundings, rather than the vehicle. The landscape becomes the main focus of the experience.

If a higher level of privacy is desired, each glazed surface of the cabin can be electrically opacified, including the skylight. The cabin then becomes a media room where the walls turn into screens.

The Air.V is about connecting people and enjoying your time with your loved ones in a new, sustainable way.
